This workshop takes place at Fife Funders' Fayre 2025 which is open to third sector organisations, community groups, voluntary organisations, and social enterprises in Fife that want to meet with a range of diverse funders to learn about the grant funding schemes that are available.

There have been significant changes to the current Disclosure system since implementing the new legislation on 01 April 2025.
This 90-minute workshop will cover a variety of changes brought by the Disclosure (Scotland) Act including:
- Legal requirement PVG checks
- Standard Conditions (implemented in late 2025)
- Personal employment
- Simplifying disclosures
- Digital delivery
- Membership length (being implemented April 2026)
- Age restrictions
- Childhood conviction
- Application process for removable convictions
- Reduce Disclosure period for certain convictions
- Other relation information
This session will be led by Wendy McBeth, Compliance and Training Office at Volunteer Scotland Disclosure Services.
The Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will improve the disclosure system in Scotland by removing unnecessary barriers for people with convictions as they seek employment or other opportunities and enhance the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
The training session is for third sector organisations in Fife to:
- Learn how to work with the current disclosure legislation
- Provide you with an opportunity to ask questions about the implementation of the Disclosure Act
- Have the opportunity to learn about the new forthcoming changes.
