    About this opportunity:Be part of the change - become a Climate Champion!

    Fife Communities Climate Action Network (FCCAN) is a network of community groups in Fife that are taking action on climate change.

    They empower and enable communities to create a low carbon future. By working through thier network, they share information, resources and knowledge whilst tackling barriers to climate friendly living in Fife.

    They are looking for passionate people to join their Fife Climate Hub project to inspire community groups to add climate action to their agenda. As part of thier Fife Climate Hub project, Climate Champions will reach out to new groups and encourage them to join the growing network. You do not need to be a climate expert, but a little understanding of climate friendly actions would be useful.

    A Climate Champion will:

    -Help identify groups who may be interested in climate action
    -Deliver engagement talks to inspire groups to join our network
    -Support with delivery of other Fife Climate Hub events
    -Write blogs and social media content

    Training provided:They will provide an induction to the FCCAN and the Fife Climate Hub Project. Climate Resources and training on what you need to know and what will be required of you. Training available from a short introduction to climate change through to a carbon literacy accredited course. Further support and training, reading resources, activity materials and more.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - public transport rates and reimburse volunteers every week. Mileage rate is 45p per mile

    Experience required:A climate champion is assionate about climate action, a confident communicator, either written or spoken. Engaging and inspiring, empathetic and understanding and a people person. You do not need to be a climate expert, but a little understanding of climate friendly actions would be useful.

    Travel DetailsThe role will be delivered at Fife Climate Hub, 93 Main St, Lochgelly KY5 9AF, but will also include volunteering from home, including online delivery, and travel to communities in Fife.
