    About this opportunity:If you enjoy interacting with others then OnFife would love to hear from you.

    In response to the cost of living crisis and fuel poverty, OnFife are looking for friendly volunteers to welcome new and existing people to spend time in the warmth of their local library. You'll offer free hot drinks, play board games, get involved in activities and chat to library users.

    On occasion, library users might be seeking help with fuel costs, cost of living, budgeting etc and ask you for sources of information and support providers. OnFife's knowledgeable and experienced library staff can help here and are accustomed to signposting library users to a wide range of information.

    Maximum age:100
    Training provided:Volunteers will be offered training to increase their knowledge of the context of Fife's response to Fuel Poverty and cost of living crisis. This will enable volunteers to work alongside our staff to signpost library users to help and assistance.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Volunteer expenses are available within the Fife area. OnFife pay mileage at 45p/mile for cars, 25p/mile for motorbike and public transport rates. Expenses are reimbursed monthly by BACS payment.
