    About this opportunity:Fife Community Bookshop, Leven, sells new and second-hand books at affordable prices and promotes and supports reading within the community.
    They are looking for volunteers to serve customers, including offering advice and recommendations, taking payments, using electronic point of sale (EPOS) technology, and handling phone and face to face enquiries; processing orders and book reservations; and arranging deliveries and returns. There will also be tasks involving bibliographic work and using computer or print sources to identify and locate titles, as well as buying stock from catalogues and publishers, and sorting and pricing donated stock. Within the shop, there are also tasks such as creating window displays, replenishing stock and tidying. The Bookshop is planning to attend and host more book events and will need volunteer support with this.
    Volunteers will be able to choose which area of tasks they are most interested in, and training will be provided.

    Experience required:Kingdom Books is looking for volunteers with a passion for and awareness of books, and an interest in the bookselling sector. They are looking for people with good communication, organisational, time management, teamworking and multitasking skills. Use of IT and ability to use online delivery services is also required.
