    About this opportunity:Do you believe that all children and young people should be included and supported to develop their full potential? Are you dependable, enthusiastic and can act as a positive role model? Are you regularly available on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening? If you can answer '˜yes' to these questions, then Seal would like to hear from you.

    Seal is an organisation that offers support to young people who face challenges in their lives. They run weekly groups for young people of primary and secondary school age to take part in structured outcome-based activities to help them to build confidence, resilience and self-esteem, and to have fun.

    As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to improve children's lives. Volunteer tasks will include interacting with the children, acting as a positive role model and helping to set up for and run activities.

    Training provided:Introduction to Seal Health and Safety Briefing Code of Conduct and Online Safety Policy Values, Information and Confidentiality Expectations Child Protection Policy and Awareness Training Specific sessions on relevant topics and refresher inputs on policy changes etc Access to topic-based online training provided by third party organisations On-site support from Group Leaders

    Experience required:patience, understanding and the ability to engage and communicate effectively with children and young people some of whom may have specific needs linked to neurodivergent conditions including ADHD and autism. positive, caring and accepting attitude and uphold children's rights. volunteers are also expected to conduct themselves in a manner that provides a positive example to group members and act and demonstrate attitudes and behave in ways that are inclusive and non-discriminatory.
