As the main social media support for the fundraising group, you will become the main point of contact for all agreed social media accounts. You may also be required to set up new accounts upon request.
Typically, this role will involve the following:
- Promote local, regional, and national opportunities to fundraise, thus increasing participant numbers and income raised.
- Share messages from other Marie Curie platforms, seek local stories from volunteers and community fundraisers and setup event pages on the designated Facebook pages.
- Research local community pages and accounts and utilise opportunities to share Marie Curie content more widely in the area.
- Regularly (at least twice a week) check comments and private messages - respond appropriately, passing on concerns as required.
No expenses should be occurred
All volunteers will receive an induction and relevant training for their role. Support and supervision will be provided by your local Community Fundraiser.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Basic knowledge of social media platforms is required for this role, along with access to a device to be able to successfully manage the pages.
