Fife Carers Centre is a well-established and well-regarded organisation that every year supports thousands of family and unpaid adult carers throughout the length and breadth of Fife. Keeping them on track and planning the way ahead is their Board of Directors and they are currently looking for people who can offer their time and skills to help this important service continue to grow and develop. You might be at the start of building a career, (imagine having "Director" on your CV!) or you're recently retired and want to keep your brain supple, or you just have a bit of time on your hands and want to contribute your knowledge and experience to help us keep supporting the carers of Fife. Directors of the Fife Carers Centre take the final responsibility for the direction of the organisation and together the Board require a variety of skills and expertise that complement each other to ensure the success of the organisation.
Volunteers will spend a short period of time in orientation to the building and receive an induction pack. They will attend a Carer Centre Briefing and attend a team meeting so they become acquainted with the staff and the work they do.
For Board members Fife Carers Centre makes use of Fife Voluntary Action's training for Board members when available.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - We pay 45p per mile.
They welcome applications from carers with lived experience of the role, and from anyone with knowledge of the world of charities, from fundraising, finance, HR and any other aspect of the business. They value enthusiasm, creativity, energy and commitment just as much as formal qualifications. They ask for just a few hours a month to change your life and somebody else's.
