  About this opportunity:	Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. Each year they directly support thousands of people to rebuild their lives and find safe and stable accommodation. As a Volunteer, you will join people with a common interest to start a Crisis Fundraising Group, plan and organise fundraising events and collections with group members. A group can be any number of people from 3 upwards, and Crisis expect the group to organise 3 events per year (e.g coffee morning, Bag pack, Quiz, cake bake, book club, Outdoor collections). The group will also keep records of their financial activities, arrange submission of funds raised, and ensure all supporters have a positive experience of supporting Crisis. Volunteers help to end homelessness by raising vital funds for Crisis, which will pay for services such as 1 to 1 support from a coach, adult learning sessions, or their Christmas events. Hours will be variable and flexible depending on the activity.
  Takes place:	mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays
  Minimum age:	18
  Maximum age:	100
  Training provided:	General induction and role specific training will be offered, with a mixture of online and in person opportunities.
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - Travel (public transport or mileage rates) and lunch expenses are reimbursed as appropriate.
  Experience required:	A strong team member, with a proactive positive approach Willing to actively participate in group meetings, be active in fundraising events, have good organisational skills and reliability Interest and experience in organising events (desirable) Good communication skills, confident talking to new people and representing Crisis Non-judgmental, patient and friendly Adhere to policies and processes, including confidentiality
