  About this opportunity:	CHARIS is a Christian organisation providing free, professional, counselling service to all people regardless of social status, age, race or religion or philosophical belief. They also provide training up to diploma level for those involved in counselling or the caring professions. They aim to provide a welcoming environment where clients and team members experience acceptance, respect and feel valued. As an inter-denominational organisation, the team consists of people who gift their time but now need additional support with reception and office duties. They ask that volunteers share Christian beliefs and values. Volunteers will ideally be able to offer at least one day (or two half days) per week. You will greet clients, manage office appointments and enquiries, answer the telephone, manage paperwork for counselling and training using Office packages and support counsellors and others involved in managing the organisation. Training & support offered. You should have a sensitive, empathetic and accepting manner.
  Takes place:	mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays
  Minimum age:	20
  Maximum age:	100
  Training provided:	Volunteer will spend one day induction with senior counsellor, then shadow receptionist for one day. Ongoing support available from senior counsellor and receptionist.
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - Public transport/mileage reimbursed, payable monthly.
  Experience required:	Good knowledge of Office 365 (word, excel etc), organisational skills, reception/customer service experience, non-judgmental, accepting, empathetic and sensitive manner and values, share Christian faith and values.
