About this opportunity: | Cowden in the Community are a charitable football trust who deliver weekly sessions to all ages from 18 months up to over 60 years old. Sessions are during the day, evenings, and weekends. They are looking for coaches who are reliable and enthusiastic to assist with the current sessions. The volunteer coach will assist the lead coach(es) in the session, helping to set out cones and bibs for the session. The volunteer will supervise small-sided games, making sure the players follow the rules and play safely. As more experience is gained volunteers may be asked to take a register and work with a small group. Reliable and enthusiastic coaches who volunteer will progress on to recruited paid work like all current coaches. They have links with other sport organisations and can assist with linking volunteers to other work groups. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Training provided: | Volunteer will be supported through Scottish FA Coaching Course Qualifications and E-Learning Modules. Some are in person and others online. We will assist with First Aid Training/Course, Child Protection Course, and other partnered/Fife Council Course. On any sessions or part of sessions they deliver, a coach/volunteer will receive an evaluation form. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Experience required: | They require their coaches and volunteers to be reliable and committed to attending regularly and on time. In attendance coaches and volunteers should be enthusiastic and engaging with participants. No skills or experience needed, through regular attendance needed skills and experience can be gained from support from lead coaches. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Travel Details | All sessions related to Cowden In The Community are in the Cowdenbeath & Lochgelly Area. Covering Cowdenbeath, Hill of Beath, Crossgates, Lumphinnans, Lochgelly, Ballingry and Cardenden.
