The CHAS Craft Group was set up to bring together CHAS volunteers with a passion for crafting. Volunteers are based all over Scotland, from Aberdeenshire to the Borders and are involved in a variety of craft activities, from knitting to card-making. The group produces craft items to sell at stalls and events throughout the year to raise vital funds to support children with a life-shortening condition across Scotland.
The Group Lead heads up the group of 10 and is responsible for organising and delivering group activities. This will include co-ordinating delivery of craft items to relevant events and organising monthly online catch-ups with members of the group. The Group Lead does not necessarily need to be a crafter but would be responsible for making arrangements to sell crafts
All expenses for supplies will be reimbursed. They will be able to arrange for them to be supplied if this is easier for the volunteer.
You will be part of the Community Fundraising Team at CHAS. Your fundraising manager will be in regular contact to offer advice and support and to ensure that you have the right materials to carry out your fundraising.
It's important to CHAS that you feel happy, safe and confident in your role. As a CHAS volunteer you will be invited to complete a short core learning package that is tailored to your role.
CHAS are always developing new opportunities for volunteers to learn and offer a range of options for volunteers.
