    About this opportunity:Express Group (Fife) Ltd is a mental health charity, operating in Fife for 45 years. They provide group activities and engage with people over 18 experiencing poor mental health.

    There is a Garden Group in St Andrews operating March-October, with an allotment plot in Kinburn Park. They are looking for Volunteer Gardeners who could offer their skills and knowledge for 4 hours per week on Thursdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (flexibility possible outside of this with some time on a Thursday morning essential). There is always a Group Coordinator facilitating the group and often, also a Case Worker who can work 1 to 1 with service users when needed. Lunch provided and travel expenses reimbursed.

    Training provided:Volunteers will be made aware of the relevant organisational policies and procedures and will get ongoing support from staff. Relevant training opportunities will be offered.

    Experience required:You will be able to guide the group with what needs to be done and when during the season; from preparing soil, sowing, planting to harvesting (volunteers and the group will share any produce grown). You should be friendly and approachable, dependable and trustworthy. An ability to maintain confidentiality is essential while understanding the need to share information/concerns with paid staff as required.
