Citizen Advocate (Cupar Area) Volunteer Opportunity No. VO90426 - Created/last updated: 08/02/2023 | ![]() Opportunity |
About this opportunity: | Include Me is a small grass roots charity established in 2008 to match and support local volunteers as Citizen Advocates for adults aged 16-65 living in North East Fife who are vulnerable, isolated and at risk of being excluded from their communities. The organisation has a strong commitment to social justice, inclusion and personal choice and believe everyone has a right to participate in decisions made about their lives. Becoming a volunteer Citizen Advocate gives you a unique opportunity to meet and get to know a person living locally who needs trusted, reliable and independent support and friendship from someone who chooses to spend time with them. Citizen Advocates help people to voice their views, make informed decisions and become more included in their local community. They also spend time socially with their partner, often doing things together they both enjoy e.g. cycling, walking, dancing or visiting the cinema. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
