OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) saves and improves lives across Scotland, delivering expert paramedic care at the scene of time-critical emergencies.
Their fundraising volunteers play a vital role in raising awareness and funds for SCAA across Scotland. Can Collectors raised over £70,000 in 2019 alone. Can Collectors volunteer in their chosen area placing new and collecting full cans. Volunteers kindly bank the funds for SCAA, which means they have been able to create a strong network of fundraising cans over Scotland. It is a very flexible role and you can choose how big an area you manage.Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays 
Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays Minimum age: 18 Maximum age: 100 Training provided: Welcome induction about SCAA and their history. Specialised SCAA Collection Can training. Named contact with Community Fundraising Staff for support and queries. Private volunteers Facebook group - to celebrate all things SCAA and chat with your team. Regular updates and training. Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Reimbursement of travel expenses: public transport and mileage allowance for own car. They provide expenses forms to all volunteers. These are processed when submitted and paid via bank transfer in a timely manner.Experience required: Friendly and happy to talk with a diverse range of people. Enjoy being organised and keeping records. Comfortable with cash handling and banking admin Physically able to lift heavy collections. Willing to represent SCAA in the community and develop local relationships. Restrictions on who can volunteer
