Sports & Health Hub Buddy Volunteer Opportunity No. VO89478 - Created/last updated: 18/11/2021 | ![]() Opportunity |
About this opportunity: | The Glenrothes Community Sports and Health Hub aim to create a family friendly sport, social and wellbeing hub that benefits the whole community. They work with local sport clubs (e.g. football, cricket and tennis) and other groups and organisations to develop a welcoming, safe, inclusive and fun environment. Their Facebook page describes the range of activities offered including yoga, seated exercise, Andy's Man Club, Storytelling, women's wellbeing, community larder, employability and more. They also have lots of plans to involve more children, young people, older adults, socially excluded and vulnerable people. Volunteers are needed to help with existing and new activities with a special focus on health and wellness. You will interact with existing and new service users to ensure they are having a good experience, perhaps have a chat and a cuppa with people afterwards and offer social contact and connection to those who need it. Times and days for volunteering will vary and are flexible depending on when activities occur and your availability. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
