Clinical Research Advisory Council Member Volunteer Opportunity No. VO85898 - Created/last updated: 15/04/2022 | ![]() Opportunity |
About this opportunity: | Fife Community Advisory Council (FCAC) consists of members of the public who would like to advise on health research. You would work with research staff based at the University of St Andrews School of Medicine and NHS Fife, on a range of studies. We welcome anyone from any walk of life who would like to make healthcare better. We meet once every three to four months to discuss current projects, how the contribution from the public have helped so far, and a general catch up and coffee. The meetings are informal and friendly. We sometimes have a guest speaker or presentation. When based within the School of Medicine, vouchers for refreshments and tea/coffee are provided for the members. |
Takes place: | Please contact us to find out when this opportunity takes place. |
Minimum age: | 16 |
Maximum age: | 100 |
Training provided: | Informal meeting with academic members of the committee before starring and project specific training as well as attendance at relevant meetings in the NHS and University. |
Out of pocket expenses paid? | No |
Experience required: | You do not need to have worked within any aspect of health to be able to contribute. All we ask is that you are able to give a few hours a month to help our research make a difference. The input of the public is very valuable, and many research projects we see mentioned in the media and news today would not have been possible without members of the public. |
