About this opportunity:SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, exists to relieve need, suffering and distress amongst the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families in order to support their independence and dignity. In 2019 the volunteer caseworkers of the Fife Branch helped to support over 250 veterans and their families and facilitated the release of over £200,000 of benevolence funds for our clients.
All of these funds pass through our Treasurers accounts and need to be reviewed before the final figures are passed to SSAFA’s Central Office for incorporation into the national charity’s end of year financial statements.
Before submission in February each year, the Branch is required to have an independent reviewer check the accounts (note this is not a formal audit).
