    About this opportunity:St John Scotland (Fife) are looking for volunteer drivers aged between 25-70 to support our patient transport service.
    St John Scotland works in partnership with NHS Fife to provide patient transport for people attending renal clinics in Fife. All passengers are referred to us by NHS Fife.
    The service uses dedicated St John badged vehicles which can carry up to 6 passengers allowing multiple pickups. [currently only one patient due to covid restrictions]

    Minimum age:25
    Maximum age:70
    Training provided:Volunteers will be introduced to staff and patients, have a driving assessment and complete forms and submission.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Volunteers will receive a mileage rate of 45p per mile which is the NHS rate.

    Experience required:Driver Good and safe driving skills. People skills.

    Restrictions on who can volunteer
    over 25 is an insurance requirement.

    Travel DetailsThe current service runs for Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. Volunteer drivers collect passengers from their homes at a pre-arranged time, convey them to the clinic and return them home after treatment.
