Crossroads Befriending Service is aimed at vulnerable adults living in Central, Levenmouth and North East Fife areas who are feeling socially isolated and lonely.
As a Volunteering Befriender, you can be a vital contact and important link to other valuable sources of information and support. You can offer a regular opportunity for social interaction - over the phone, in the person’s home or to their local community (café, recreational activity or other important appointment). You can provide a confidential, supportive and trusting relationship to help improve a person’s self-esteem, confidence, health and well-being and, most importantly, help reduce the detrimental effects of social isolation and loneliness.
Can you help transform someones life, simply by giving a few hours a week? If you’re a warm, considerate, honest and reliable individual, who’s interested in the well-being of others, we want to hear from you!
