    Opportunity

About this opportunity:Enthusiastic Befrienders are required to help support people suffering from eating disorders and/or their carers to beat their illness. This is an interesting and rewarding role and full training is provided. Your role as a befriender will be to support and/or upskill the Befriendee over a 6-month period, by having a regular weekly phone call.

Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of all psychiatric disorders. This is therefore a valuable opportunity to make a significant difference to people's lives by helping sufferers and their carers, discuss their feelings and concerns, to provide information and support and to look towards a more positive future.
This role will initially be telephone befriending, based within your own home but has the potential to have some face to face befriending in the future.
