    Opportunity

About this opportunity:The primary aim of Muirhead Outreach Project is to support vulnerable children, young people and their families through difficult, chaotic times with an aim of assisting them to remain at home, and to refer on to other professional agencies when necessary.

Volunteers can help reduce loneliness and isolation for our families by providing practical and emotional support as well as building positive relationships. Dependant on the individual you are supporting, this may involve going out the house for a coffee or a walk, support to attend local groups, getting to appointments or just being a listening ear.

By sharing your time and friendship in this way, our volunteers offer the parent/child the opportunity to build their confidence, develop new skills and enjoy family life
