To ensure that visitors and callers to have a positive experience and that the safety of staff, tenants and visitors is maintained by following procedures. Some tasks will include, show visitors to rooms if required, distribute incoming mail and record same, assist to set up and clear rooms for meetings and prepare tea/coffee if required. Once volunteer is comfortable with procedures they will answer the phone and transfer calls or take messages. Other admin tasks may include Data input, updating records, photocopying and making up files. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
Volunteers would receive training on all aspects of reception from the Volunteering Support Officer and will work along side the Full time Receptionist
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - All reasonable travel expenses will be re-inbursed. Bus fares on production of relevant receipts will be paid daily and car travel at a rate of 45p per mile on submission of a travel expense form.
We would be looking for someone comfortable working with members of the public from all walks of life. The ideal candidate would have good communications skills, tact, diplomacy, be polite and considerate and be well presented at all times. Confident on telephone and have basic Computing / Administration skills
