    About this opportunity:The aim of Care and Share Companionship is to provide support to people over the age of 60 who are living in isolation or loneliness in the Kirkcaldy area. We offer volunteer companionship to help improve health, well-being and confidence.

    Volunteer companions provide face to face, telephone or shopping support giving their time from 30 minutes to two or three hours. Going for short walks together, attending groups of interest, going to local cafes for tea/coffee or just chatting with a friend will build a rapport and establish mutual respect and understanding giving both the Friend and Volunteer a positive experience.

    Training provided:Induction and ongoing relevant supportive training to the role

    Yes - Mileage expenses are paid monthly By car or public transport within the Kirkcaldy area including Kinghorn Burntisland and Dysart

    Experience required:No formal experience necessary, being able to listen and have a good conversation is all that is needed
