The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship (CSRF) are looking for friendly, sociable and reliable people who are interested in providing social support to older people in their communities. Prospective volunteers must provide two references, as well as undergo befriending training over the phone. Volunteers will then hopefully be matched with someone near them for visits, with visits usually lasting around an hour and will take place in the home of the person being visited. Volunteers cannot take the person they visit out.

Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Public transport reimbursed and car mileage paid at 45p per mile.
Volunteers will be provided with expense claims forms and expenses are paid at the end of the week.
