Our retirement housing development are looking for Social Activities Volunteers to establish a Social group within Gillie Court, Dunfermline to encourage, engage and support tenants to take part in a variety of fun activities. Volunteers will form a team helping to reduce isolation and loneliness by supporting older people to become more independent. Group training day held in Fife in the autumn (date to be agreed with volunteers) and induction held at the development.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Paid monthly directly into volunteer's bank account and covers up to £5 public travel expenses (per visit) or 45p per mile for car users (up to 30 mile round trip).
No qualifications necessary but looking for applicants who are friendly, enthusiastic about working with older people and with good communication skills.
