Alzheimer Scotland are currently looking for volunteers to facilitate carer groups at our Information Cafes across Fife. Do you have a background in health and social care or experience managing groups? Our Information Cafes would benefit from having Group Facilitators who can help carers of people living with dementia with any questions they have. The Group Facilitator will signpost carers to services available to the person living with dementia.
no upper age limit has been specified
The volunteer will receive a 2 hour induction session with the Volunteer Coordinator with further training from staff in Alzheimer Scotland on information available to people living with dementia. There will be a 6 month support meeting with the Volunteer Coordinator after the volunteer begins their role.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Expenses are processed by the Alzheimer Scotland office once the volunteer completes an expenses form which is issued at induction.
Good communication skills, patient, reliable, calm, able to retain information.
