Trust In Fife is a voluntary sector organisation providing a range of services to homeless people throughout Fife. To assist in supporting these services, Trust In Fife operate two charity outlets, The Cairn Centres in Kirkcaldy and Lochgelly. Both offer good quality, previously owned goods to the local community. Trust In Fife are currently looking for a Volunteer Van Driver for the Cairn Centre collection/delivery service across Fife. This volunteering opportunity involves heavy/awkward lifting of furniture and white goods; and although, experience of manual handling would be desirable, it is not essential as training will be provided. The volunteer would be required to be 25 years or older (for insurance purposes) and have a full driving licence.

There is an initial induction within the shop as well as quarterly training/team building events. There is regular support for volunteers as well as operating an open door policy for support.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Public transport rates or mileage rate, paid weekly.
A degree of physical fitness is required due to the nature of collections/deliveries, which can include heavy and awkward items. The ability to work within a team and communicate with the public. Previous manual handling experience would be of advantage but is not essential.
