Fife Gingerbread has been providing support in Fife for 30 years helping thousands of lone parent, vulnerable and disadvantaged families. Without the help and support of our volunteers, this would not be possible. Fife Gingerbread secured funding for an allotment and, now that the clearing process has been completed, are looking for volunteers to help with the preparation and planting of crops/fruit/veg, tending to and caring for them together with general maintenance and upkeep of the plot. It is hoped our harvest can then be used to cater for the various cooking groups we hold within the community as well as being part of food packages for the families we support. UPDATE *During the current Covid-19 Pandemic Scottish Government social distancing guidelines will need to be adhered to*
no upper age limit has been specified

Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Fife Gingerbread will reimburse public transport costs or 45p per mile if travelling by car. Childcare costs for volunteers attending training and development days will also be covered but not for carrying out their volunteering role.
An interest in horticulture and allotment activities would be beneficial.
