Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries has an ongoing programme of events throughout the coming months and we would greatly appreciate the assistance of some enthusiastic volunteers in making these events a great success! Volunteers can choose to support the team with all aspects of event preparation and delivery or with specific areas and tasks that suit your interests and experience. The tasks involved include such things as assisting with preparation of materials for events e.g. for craft workshops; setting up venue space prior to the event e.g. room dressing, refreshments, programmes, etc.; meeting and greeting event participants; guiding participants to the event space; collecting feedback and surveys. More details of available tasks can be found in the Role Profile - please ask FCT Volunteering Development Officer for further details.
no upper age limit has been specified
All volunteers will receive a volunteer welcome pack on their first week, which contains information pertaining to our organisation, their role, etc. There is a standard induction process for all volunteers to help them get to know the venue, policy and procedures and, of course, the staff. Training will be on-the-job with support from FCT staff, and will be relevant to the individual events. Volunteers will have a named contact within FCT who will support them.
