Re-Employ is a Social Enterprise based in Crosshill by Lochgelly. The organisation supports employees with multiple learning and life challenges, helping them to create a range of bespoke products within the arts & crafts sector. Re-Employ are currently looking for a volunteer to support and mentor an individual or individuals with multiple learning issues and support their daily production activities relating to the business.
The duties will include:- Working with 1 or 2 people to ensure they fully understand the task at hand. Providing a hands-on and/or advisory role, as required, to ensure task completion. Carrying out a buddy role to support, encourage and attain quality outcomes.
Production days and hours are Tuesday-Thursday 09:00-14:30. This position can be developed to suit the availability of the applicant. Volunteers of any age, who have disabilities, or are ex-Forces are all very welcome to apply for this role. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed, enthusiastic individual, who is empathetic to the special learning needs of Re-employ's enthusiastic and committed workforce. Their volunteers all agree that they are contributing to a worthwhile cause and talk about the positive, rewarding and sometimes life-changing effect, the Re-Employ experience has given them.

There will be an induction on the first day for the volunteer; topics covered will include Health & Safety, time-keeping, absence management, support provided, familiarisation of systems used for admin work and expenses.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed, enthusiastic individual, who is empathetic to the special learning needs of our enthusiastic and committed workforce.
Our 6 employees have a range of complex mental and physical health issues. Due to the highly vulnerable nature of the workforce, it is essential that we undertake disclosure checks for all new volunteers.
This position may also suit part-time college students who are looking to volunteer as part of their course or downtime.
