FSB has a rich history of providing pioneering services and has been at the forefront of supporting people with sight impairment for over 150 years. If you're a real people person and can strike up a conversation with anyone in your local community, our Collection Can Coordinator role could be the one for you! Fife Society for the Blind need your help to raise awareness and increase income by placing collection cans in your local area by:- Approaching companies, groups and supporters to have a can, placing and servicing collection cans, Counting and banking money, informing FSB admin team on a weekly basis of all cans placed and monies collected.
Volunteers receive induction, ongoing training and support.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Mileage rate 45p per mile from the volunteer's home. Payable on completion of a monthly claim form.
Ability to organise your volunteer activity and use your own initiative.
Able to record and administer where cans are placed.
Cash handling skills desirable.
Coins can be very heavy so a reasonable level of general health is required.
