OpportunityAbout this opportunity: The role of the Treasurer will be to:
Liaise with Chairperson and Executive Committee members to ensure the financial viability of the organisation.
Make fellow Executive Committee members aware of their financial obligations and take a lead in interpreting financial data to them.
Regularly report the financial position at Executive Committee meetings (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, etc).
Undertake the production of an annual budget and propose its adoption at the last meeting of the previous financial year.
Undertake bookkeeping duties and ensuring posting and bookkeeping is kept up-to-date.
Regularly carry out reconciliations.
Arrange payments to creditors as appropriate and arrange appropriate signatures/authorisations on payments.
Make the necessary arrangements to collect payments from debtors and bank payments promptly.
Attend the organisation's Annual General Meeting and report on the financial position (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, etc).
Prepare the annual accounts for submission to OSCR and liaise with an independent examiner.Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays

Yes - Expenses paid by BACS at 40p per mile.Experience required: Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising financial practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations.
