The Frisson Foundation are looking for enthusiastic individuals who would like to be part of a team aiming to develop one of Scotland's most innovative and fastest-growing young people's music initiatives. Joining their board of trustees is a rewarding and exciting opportunity to make a difference for children and young people as well as to develop knowledge and experience in strategic management, leadership and governance.
Since their inception in May 2015 the Foundation has grown 40% year on year, and this coming year they will be working with over 200 primary schools & 6000 children, making them one of the largest music initiatives in Scotland. Over 25,000 people are expected to attend their 40+ events in 2020, and over the period of 2020-2022 they expect further expansion and development to include new challenged for early primary years and high schools, making the years ahead the busiest yet.
They are interested in hearing from individuals who share the vision of the Co-Founders in removing barriers, financial or otherwise, in order to widen opportunity for children and young people, using music as a vehicle to improve learning outcomes, health & wellbeing, and engagement across school communities.
