Community Events Coordinator Volunteer Opportunity No. VO68289 - Created/last updated: 04/08/2020 | ![]() Opportunity |
About this opportunity: | Leonard Cheshire (LC) provide day care services at Rosyth, Glenrothes and Dysart and also provide residential care and supported living services within the Fife area. LC have been based in Glenrothes since 1984 providing services for those with learning/physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At LC we encourage those that use our services to be as independent as possible, supporting them to focus on what they can do and not what they cannot. Volunteers play a major part in helping us to do this, and much more, for the benefit of those that use our services. Ideally the volunteer would provide support to organise promotional events/activities combining this with fundraising. Monies raised through fundraising can go towards social outings, provision of specialised equipment, maintenance of sensory gardens, sensory rooms, etc. Those that use our services are consulted on how we can use these funds to benefit all that use our services. If you also have knowledge of your local community, good communication and organisational skills and be able to complete tasks independently, that would be great! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
