    About this opportunity:Supporting the Guest Experience Team, volunteers will help provide and create a welcoming and friendly environment for all visitors to the Garden. Interacting with and helping visitors to ensure they have the best possible visit to the Garden.
    Tasks will include working in the Ticket Office, Cafe and Gift Shop.
    Working in the Ticket Office will involve:-
    Welcoming visitors to the Garden, processing payment for and issuing tickets for Garden entry.
    Giving visitors all the information they need to ensure they enjoy and make the most of their visit.
    Dealing with general enquiries in a friendly and courteous manner.
    Maintaining the tidiness of the ticket office at all times.
    The Cafe involves:-
    Welcoming visitors.
    Taking drink/food orders.
    Assisting the Guest experience Team with preparing hot and cold drinks and snacks, taking orders, clearing tables and washing up dishes.
    Maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times.
    The Gift Shop involves:-
    Welcoming visitors, helping with enquiries and processing payments for goods.
    Maintaining hygiene standards and general appearance of the shop area.

    Training provided:All volunteers will be given a general induction to the Garden prior to starting volunteering with us. Once in your group you will be given general guidance on how to carry out tasks.

    Experience required:Friendly and approachable with great customer service skills. Ability to work as a team. Clear communication skills. Must be able to follow clear instructions and work under the guidelines set out by the Guest Experience Staff. Cash handling experience. Service experience. Experience in working with food/drink. Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in busy environments.
