    About this opportunity:The Trust is looking for volunteers to welcome visitors at the front of the Butterfly House, to be the first point of contact for the visitor and to ensure that the ticketing process runs smoothly. One of the key functions of the volunteer is to interact with visitors and share their knowledge about the exhibition whilst ensuring that the butterflies are protected and that the visitor remains respectful of the environment whilst still being able to enjoy and get the most out of the exhibit.
    Tasks will include:-
    Maintaining the right temperature in the Butterfly House by turning on/off heaters and opening/closing vents.
    Keeping accurate records of temperatures.
    Handling butterflies.
    Cleaning fruit stands and replenishing fruit.
    Watering duties.
    General gardening duties.
    Cleaning and sweeping.

    Training provided:There will be an induction session before beginning role and ongoing training and support.

    Experience required:Friendly and approachable. Ability to work as a team. Clear communication skills. Must be able to follow clear instructions and work under the guidelines set out by the Team Leaders and/or staff members. Be able to work in hot environments (tropical climate). Be able to cope with handling butterflies/caterpillars.
