About this opportunity: | Local Fundraising Groups are dedicated to raising funds for local nurses by holding collections and events so that Marie Curie can continue to care for people with terminal illnesses in their own homes. As Fundraising Group Treasurer, you will count, bank and record all money raised, collected and donated to the group, and inform Marie Curie of all transactions using the forms provided. You'll also keep records of income and expenditure relating to Fundraising Group events, and provide regular financial updates at the group's meetings. Each group is supported by a local Community Fundraiser who is on hand to answer any queries you may have. As a member of the group, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the planning of fundraising events which you think your local community will enjoy. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Experience required: | Good numerical, administrative and organisational skills.
The ability to manage simple budgets and record simple financial information.
The ability to work on your own initiative.
Basic IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
Honesty and reliability.
