Once a month, on a Sunday afternoon, our groups of 6-8 guests, over 70s who are lonely and isolated, are collected from their homes by our volunteer drivers and taken to the home of a volunteer host. Everyone then enjoys a couple of hours of chat, laughter, tea, cakes and companionship before the drivers return our guests to their homes. It's the same small group of drivers and guests who meet in the home of a different host each month. Reserve drivers are called upon when our regular drivers are unavailable. The social connection provided by sharing a couple of hours company once a month is of huge benefit to our lonely guests.
