    About this opportunity:The Community Centre is looking for 2-3 volunteers to help in the coffee bar, share the opening times, with one person taking responsibility for stock rotating, ordering, checks etc, and keeping the financial details up to date. It would also be helpful if the coffee bar assistant has an understanding of how a community centre operates and be supportive of the centre’s aims and ambitions. The Coffee Bar Assistant has the responsibility of reporting to the Centre’s Management Committee. The coffee bar assistant will work with the centre’s administration staff when stock has to be ordered and coffee bar takings counted and recorded.

    Training provided:The induction will consist of a tour of the centre that will include all health and safety issues. It will also involve meeting the members of the Management Committee, the centre staff and volunteers and an opportunity to become familiar with the coffee bar, with the centre’s facilities, resources and equipment. They will also be made aware of the coffee bar assistant tasks.

    Experience required:It will be important to have communication skills, be friendly, outgoing and have the experience of having worked in a shop/coffee bar.
