    About this opportunity:Every day RVS helps thousands of older people to live the life that they want. We provide practical services within homes, in hospitals and in communities all across the UK so that people can be independent and active. We provide practical solutions to the everyday problem of loneliness and isolation.
    Volunteers will be based within the community delivering presentations to groups such as guilds, rotary clubs, community groups and schools, etc, to make people aware of the service that is provided to try and encourage potential service users as well as volunteers.
    Volunteers will work with the service and locality manager to prepare a suitable presentation outline that can be adapted for different audiences.

    Takes place:
    Minimum age:16
    Maximum age:no upper age limit has been specified
    Training provided:Volunteers will receive induction before first tasks, this goes over RVS policies and procedures. Contact details for support. Can buddy another volunteer if required.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - 45p per mile or public transport costs (receipt required).

    Experience required:Good communication and listening skills, friendly and reliable. Experience and confidence in public speaking, friendly and outgoing and able to use MS Powerpoint.
