    About this opportunity:You will get as much fun from scouting as young people with an opportunity to try a range of different activities and experiences.
    The Scout Association can develop your skills, learn new ones and enhance your CV

    Manage and lead the explorer section for young boys and girls aged 14 - 18 to provide them with adventure and activities in a safe an fun environment in accordance with the Policy, Organisation and Rules of The Scout Association. Plan and deliver the Scout Association Balanced Program and assist with them achieving the Duke of Edinburgh Award with the help of Assistant Section Leaders, Young Leaders and parent helpers. Actively support and promote the achievement of badges and awards. Work with other adults in the Group to support and promote the Group or multi-section activities and events. Ensure regular opportunities are provided for young people to express their views of the programme and running on the Section, and that those views are taken into account. Work with the Group Scout Leader, the Group Executive Committee and others to support recruiting and induction of appropriate Assistant Leaders and Section Assistants.

    Training provided:The Group Scout Leader will provide local induction and the Scout Association provides a comprehensive programme of training to build on existing skills and knowledge and develop new competencies. Training Advisors are appointed to each adult to assist them through their training and there is opportunities to attend courses which can count towards externally-recognised qualifications Within the movement there are also awards to recognise dedication to training and outstanding service.

    Travel DetailsLinktown Chuch, Nicol Street, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1NY, every Wednesday evening during school term, 7.30 pm - 9 pm. Outdoor activities, camping etc at weekends. Bus stops on Nicol Street, 10 min walk from Kirkcaldy bus and train station.
