The role of an activity assistant for Hyperclub is to develop, create and oversee activities for children with various health issues who need help and support. Activity assistants are responsible for planning in advance and implementing activities for each child/group. The activities they plan should stimulate new interests and skills, meet the individual's needs and promote social, educational and other recreational activities. Activities can be anything from individual hobbies through to organised group activities. activity assistants need to be creative and have initiative in order to develop interesting and engaging activities that the children are able to participate in.

Volunteers will receive an induction covering general policies and procedures and be shown around the building.
Volunteers are also offered the opportunity to attend the weekly team meeting which discusses matters in the Hyperclub and further training opportunites such as first aid, food hygiene, manual handling, child protection, anger management, etc, are available.
Support is provided by the supervisor.
