    About this opportunity:The voluntary post will take 2-4 hours per week and you would work with girls aged 5-7 years, 7-10 years or 10-14 years. You should have good empathy with children plus good organizational and administrative skills. You need to be committed, a self-starter, innovative and with a high moral standing. It would be desirable to have good computer skills and have the use of a car. Support and training will be provided and whilst not necessary it would be an advantage to have previous Guiding experience. A unit leader plans and organizes the meetings each week. She keeps records of the girls' achievements and organizes games and activities.

    Training provided:The local commissioner will meet with the candidate and arrange for her to work with a unit. They will be allocated a mentor and given an Adult Leader's Pack. She will attend Girlguiding training and receive First Response First Aid Training.

    Experience required:The female volunteer needs good people skills, good at working with children, a good organizer, good administrator and good at leading. She should be honest, caring, committed, reliable and trustworthy, friendly and optimistic.

    Travel DetailsThere are units throughout Fife who are looking for leaders so a unit near where you live would be preferable. Usually the person travels to units using their own car.
