    About this opportunity:Elizabeth House are looking for someone to volunteer to assist service users and staff with local outings, e.g. shopping trips, tea dances, bar lunches, cinema, swimming, walks and sometimes further afield to the safari park. This may be as a group activity on a more person centred 1-1 activity. Volunteers need to be quite active and out-going and able to assist service users with activities such as swimming and shopping etc.

    There will also be a certain amount of assisting residents to move around, transfer from seats etc for which training will be given. You will need to be a member of the PVG scheme for this opportunity.

    Training provided:Induction will entail a chat with the manager, a tour of the premises covering fire safety, an introduction to staff members and service users.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Travel expenses can be refunded. However, Elizabeth House do not refund the cost of joining the PVG scheme.

    Experience required:No skills required as training will be given. The volunteer should possess a kind and caring attitude.
