Friary Community Garden is a beautiful open space in the heart of Inverkeithing, situated to the rear of the Civic Centre. Run by and for local people, it is a project where people from all walks of life come together to appreciate and enhance their environment. Situated on a south facing slope, the garden has fantastic views over Inverkeithing Bay and over the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh. The Friary comprises raised vegetable plots, an orchard, seating and a wildlife area. Tending the garden is a communal effort by a dedicated team of volunteers. The team is now busy clearing, tidying and planting for the summer season - come and have a look! The main tasks include general garden maintenance, bed renovation and grounds development. If you would like to become part of this enthusiastic and friendly community group, you would be very welcome!
