The Premier pitch at King George V Park in Leven is known as the beast amateur pitch in Fife. The pitch is fenced in and has a portacabin facility which is used by two teams - Leven United and East Fife Ladies. There is a small budget available for the maintenance of the pitch to buy fertiliser etc. and cover the cost of petrol for the sit on mower. During the summer months, the pitch needs cut once/twice per week with less maintenance through the winter months. Cutting the grass is the main duty and times this can be done are flexible. The successful candidate would be a key holder of the facility and so could volunteer during any time of the week with the exception of weekends.
We will organise for the successful candidate to spend a day with the grounds team at East Fife FC to see techniques they use to maintain the pitch at Bayview.
