Muirhead Outreach Project offers services to children and young people who are experiencing difficulties within their home, school or community. They have various health, behavioural and social needs. We support children and their families who come from areas of multiple deprivation and have a degree of family dysfunction and vulnerability. Some of the children we work with are diagnosed with various conditions e.g autism, ADHD, ODD and mental health problems. To meet the needs of our service users, we run evening groups, school holiday activities, parent groups and 1-1 befriending.
no upper age limit has been specified
Induction will discuss the work of the project, policies and procedures and give information volunteers will need to confidently approach their role. Ongoing training will be directly related to the volunteers task.
