Victim Support provides support to victims and witnesses of crime all over Fife. Victim service volunteers support individuals both emotionally and practically through telephone and face-to-face interaction. Witness service volunteers are based within one of Fife's Sheriff Courts for 1 full day per week supporting those giving evidence at court. Clients have suffered from a variety of different crimes and the impact is unique to the individual. This calls for volunteers to be non-judgmental and adaptable in the service they provide. Accreditation takes on average 6 months and we look for volunteers to commit to 18 months of volunteering thereafter.
