    About this opportunity:Volunteer Group Facilitators set up and run support groups for either sufferers or carers, or a mixed group, who meet every 2-4 weeks at a set time for a maximum of 2 hours. There must be two or more beat-registered volunteers facilitating each meeting. This is a long-term commitment opportunity, because of the nature of the work, and the recruitment and training process which takes a minimum of 3 months.
    Please note that if you have personal experience of an eating disorder, we do ask that you have been recovered and out of treatment for a minimum period of two years before you support others, this is to ensure your continued well-being and that your volunteering role does not have any negative effects on your own health.
    All volunteers will be required to undergo an application, registration process and induction training. References and CRB checks may also be required.

    Travel DetailsWe are looking to set up groups across all areas of the UK including Scotland, the group would therefore be local to the volunteers. Training events are being held across the UK but where it is not practical to arrange an event, training will be done by telephone sessions.
