Volunteer drivers are required to collect group members from the communities of Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly, Ballingry, Cardenden and transport to the Corrie Centre in Cardenden for the purpose of a social club. Group members are those with learning disabilities and many have severe physical disabilities also.
Drivers will be required to provide assistance to group members in boarding and alighting the vehicle and some may require the use of the passenger lift.
Group members require transport home at the end of the evening also.
The vehicle is garaged at the Corrie Centre where volunteering who will begin and end each session.

An initial short induction training session will be provided on the first day of volunteering by group members. Those who do not already hold a MIDAS Certificate will be required to undertake the MIDAS training and assessment prior to volunteering.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Travel expenses will be offered to volunteers on a public transport rate basis or mileage rate for those using their own cars.
Volunteer minibus drivers are required to have a full licence which permits driving of a minibus and able to successfully complete the MIDAS. Assessment for minibus driving if a current certificate is not held.
A good rapport with people is vital.
Volunteer will be based at the Corrie Centre, Cardenden. The minibus will travel to Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly, Ballingry and Cardenden to collect and return home group members.
